    FNOS (1.7b) is a DOS based Internet TCP/IP software package
    containing FTP, SMTP, POP3, NNTP, & TELNET clients using PPP (Point
    to Point Protocol) with a dialup modem connection to a local
    Internet host. It has been extensively modified to allow scripted,
    automated FTP sessions for transfer of Fidonet mail and files. The
    NNTP client retrieves newsgroups in BAG format for use with external
    News utilities.
