Except if the provider is completely unreliable in comparison to the cable provider (which would be the case in my area).
At the moment, I don't think any fiber providers are in Wisconsin. Otherwise we only have a couple choices. One of them is AT&T U-Verse, in which their service complete garbage. I've had Spectrum (formerly Time Warner Cable) for 20+ years, and their service has always been rock solid. I have their highest tier service at 1Gbps down, 30Mbps up.. which is the best I can get around here.
If Verizon's Fios ever shows up in these parts, I may check it out. Otherwise, DSL is out of the question for me. I'll just stick with what I have.
