Hey do any of you guys use opera browser or is it just me?
It's a great browser, even though i prefer chrome. i use both.

If you havent used it in a while, check it out. it's very robust.
also has a built in vpn if you want to use it.

ahh the good ol' opera, i am using it on my win98 machines, but nothing serious :)

Every now and then I'll look around at the alternatives to Firefox, but I'm never convinced to permanently switch.

It's not the fastest, shiniest, or most X-Treme but it's reliable and is basically exactly what I want my web browsing to be.

I used to like Firefox, but then they started changing its GUI and it looked more like Google Chrome. Things like removing the dedicated search input (I believe you can re-enable that though) and removing the top menu bar in favor of the 3-bar menu, etc..

yeah i check it out sometimes. it's good to use something different sometimes. but, now everything is pretty much the same.

True, most browsers look very similar these days.

Yes, very easy - a single radio button in Settings. I prefer that too.

and removing the top menu bar in favor of the 3-bar menu, etc..

Also adjustable - right click near the top and checkbox for Menu Bar.

I use both Firefox and Chromium about equally.

SeaMonkey brings back pleasant memories of Netscape Communicator. In the
late 90s, Communicator was king, having news, mail, chat and web in one
place.

I ran SeaMonkey for a while on the BBS, but it doesn't seem to like
Windows 10 (or doesn't like the 32-bit version).

It's still chrome at its base. Also, this is purely personal, but I avoid opera after finding out they're funding themselves by giving out shady predatory loans in countries like kenya and nigeria. and again this is a personal thing, but if they're pulling that I don't wanna know what they're doing with the data they're scraping from users going through their vpn...

personally i've been liking vivaldi -- it's (another) chromium fork, but it's run by one of the OG Opera founders

Ah. SBBS v2.3 might still've had that option (I don't recall off-hand), but good to know.
